Read your Power of Attorney Carefully

In most real estate transactions, when you have a buyer or seller utilizing a power of attorney, you look for a few key phrases. You make sure its durable, preferably transaction specific and you check the names and run it by your underwriter to make sure its use won’t void the ability to insure the lender and/or buyer. Sometimes there is more to the story then meets the eye as in the attached Circuit Court case. Families can be tricky!
